Rainer Kasel - RESUME

Professional Experience:

1995 – present
Founder and director of Kasel Salvage Pte Ltd and Kasel Salvage (Hong Kong) Ltd.
Serving worldwide in all salvage and towage-related activities.

1987 – 1995

Founder and director of Salvindo Towage & Salvage Pte Ltd, which became a leading salvage company in South East Asia.

1980 – 1987
Promoted to Salvage Manager in charge of all salvage cases in Asean.

1977– 1980
Transferred to Smit International Singapore as Senior Salvage Master.
Responsible for securing contracts and undertaking major salvage and wreck removal projects.

1974 – 1977
Seconded to Cuba for various wreck removal operations. Personally undertook about 25 wreck removals.

1968 – 1974
Promoted to Salvage Master, then seconded to Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Managed the operation of floating cranes and tugs for some 50 salvage and wreck removal jobs.

1967 – 1968
Started career in salvage with Messrs. Ulrich Harms. Operated first generation submersible barge and Magnus-type floating cranes.
Actively involved in major salvage and wreck removal projects in Europe.

1963 – 1967
Joined Norddeutscher Lloyd in Bremen, Germany.
Gained in-depth knowledge of deep-sea operations.

1960 – 1963

Apprentice with Harbour Division in Hamburg, Germany sailing on Tug boats up to 500 hp.
